Haakon and hockey

As part of our Spring Break festivities Haakon was invited to participate in a hockey tournament in Soldotna. So we all went down and hung out with our good friends the Anderson's while he and Nate played hockey..... lots of hockey.

It is always fun to watch Haakon play and it brings back memories of when we were dating. The kids enjoyed watching about the first period of each game and then spent the rest of the time running around with the other players kids.

Haakon and Nate after a game. I cannot help pointing out the irony that an ex-bishop and a current first counselor in a bishopric are playing for a team called "The Brew Crew". I won't even tell you who the team was sponsored by but if you look close at Nate's jersey you might figure it out. (It is not the normal team they play for.)

They had a great time and enjoyed playing some good hockey. Both of them scored a decent amount of goals too.

Haakon normally plays rec. hockey late at night about once a week. It is a great way for him to get in shape and release some steam too.

In this shot Haakon scores a goal but I barely caught it so it is hard to see.

Footage of Haakon skating around. He's the one with the red and blue tights. Man is he cute or what!
