Of course, they were checked out, and everything was fine.
The second half of this story is that Grandpa brought back a lovely Mexican dress which Corinne somehow convinced me to let her wear to school. (I tried to get her to wait 'til Cinco de Mayo but it didn't work except for giving her a reason to get to wear it again...... sigh!)
So, of course, she shows up at school wearing a Mexican dress that is hard to miss, shortly after the swine flu outbreak, and tells everyone about how her Grandpa brought it back from Mexico..... as she sniffles and coughs. Oh, it was one of those parental moments you can't help but shake your head at!
Hopefully the rest of you get a good laugh out of it....... and by the way, Happy Cinco de Mayo! I am grateful to inform you that you have not been infected by the Johnson's!

i like reading your blog. your family is so active, getting out and doing fun stuff. isn't the baby coming soon?
Hilarious. You should send her to school with a mask on tomorrow, just to really raise eyebrows. =) Let us know if you need anything before/after the baby arrives.
That dress is way too cute to only where once. She should wear it everyday. I love it. Maybe wait though till the swine flu thing dies down though or maybe people might start to avoid you guys.
I think she should wear it everyday until she gets sick of it. HOw fun. We had friends over for some mexican food yesterday even though we aren't mexican and her son said. "mom is this pig? are we gonna get the swine flu?" It wasn't but I thougt it was cute. Glad to know your in the clear.
Well, now that is a great story. Our children always have a way to keep us humble and well grounded. The dress is great! Let her enjoy it, after all, your father could have brought something worse then and dress and a cold!!
Haha, that is hilarious!! She was just so proud to wear the swine infected dress from G-pa Don! Somehow she pulls that colorful dress off and still looks darn cute!
