Camping at LaDaSa!

The church has a really great Stake camp up here in Alaska called LaDaSa (really clever name, eh?) and any members can use the cabins almost whenever we want. We planned a big group campout with anyone who wanted to come and we had a great time!

The cabins are definitely rustic and some are in dire need of repair, but they have wood burning stoves that kept our family warm and cozy all night.

Some of the kids in front of one of the 18 cabins there.
On Friday night we actually had about 7 families that stayed the night, (it was so fun!!!) unfortunately, I didn't pull my camera out until Saturday morning and almost everyone had taken off by then. This is what the campsite looked like by 9:00...... it was a ghost town!
We and the Malouf's stuck around and shot some of our guns........
Amy shooting at the targets.

The kids took turns shooting the BB Gun.

We also rode around on our four-wheeler.

through all the slush puddles.

Jake and Haakon thought it might be fun to get pulled behind the four wheeler......
They had a blast but Jake was drenched by the end!
Good thing it was such a beautiful sunny day! We had a great time and plan on making that campout a yearly tradition.
The girls enjoying the sunshine.
