Corinne's big events

Because we were in Utah, I missed blogging about a special event that happened in Corinne's life.

She turned 6!

She wanted to have breakfast in bed (it's a family tradition)

and spend time with her cousins and grandparents.

Since we were staying at my dad's at the time he made her his

"Joe"-famous Banana Raspberry pancakes with the letter "C" on top.

They were delicious as usual!
Corinne was absolutely spoiled rotten by both her grandparents. She went swimming in the morning, went to the mall with Grammy and Bear in the afternoon, and went to the Hansen Planetarium with some of her cousins in the evening.

one of her favorites (since she doesn't have a kitty of her own yet) was a little FurReal cat.

Corinne also started 1st grade this year and when we met with the teacher to assess her reading level she had gone from a level 4 or 5 to a 16 over the summer. Her comprehension was excellent too. Her teacher was extremely impressed. She loves to read and spent a lot of time reading this summer. (Every night at bedtime when it was still light out..... she would read until she fell asleep.)

First Day-- so excited!Off to school she goes!
